ActionBase, a company that is developing a line in human process management systems, has upgraded the software it produces to automate workflows out of unstructured email-based business processes.
Its system can be used to create email chains whose status is constantly monitored and tracked, and which drive a set of processes with an audit trail.
The system plugs into Outlook and produces collaborative emails called ActionMails which are used to track what actions are assigned to who and aggregates any action information.
The software manages action lists, it provides visibility and transparency along action chains, and supports documentation and an audit trail of any action taken.
In its latest format, version 6.1 provides enterprise ‘wave’ collaborative features so that all email and related content is located under a one-line item in an inbox.
“In this wave of communication, all process stakeholders and participants in a discussion thread share the same content, can ask questions, respond and comment or add files instead of scattering feedback across different e-mail messages,” the company said.
ActionBase 6.1 also helps enterprises increase regulatory compliance. “It allows users to collaborate with other e-mail systems and outside parties, but still maintain all relevant data in one process view to see through a whole process end-to-end.”
Backed by Vertex Venture Capital, Giza and the eXeed Technology investment group, the business has its headquarters in Tel Aviv, Israel.
