Show; back in the early 1970s, Compec was established as an exhibition dedicated to the OEM peripherals market, and the attempt to broaden its range to create a UK rival to Hanover and Sicob never really succeeded, until in the end, nobody was quite sure what it was intended to be, and its demise reflects the trend away from all-things-to all-men exhibitions towards smaller, more focussed shows.
