Sterling Software Inc, Dallas, Texas has acquired worldwide marketing rights to Sterling Auto Test, a systems software product developed by Software Recording Corp, also of Dallas. Sterling also has an option to take a 20% stake in Software Recording, and a three-year option starting in October 1990 to acquire the whole company. Software Recording has developed a library of software tools to facilitate software design, development and testing, and according to Sterling, its products are being used as a company-wide testing standard by a number of major banks and corporations. Sterling Auto Test, an advanced quality assurance software tool, is marketed in the US by Sterling’s Systems Software Marketing Division and in the rest of the world by Sterling’s International Division.
