When you’ve been through hell and back as the top management at Control Data Corp has over the past three years, and are just about seeing light at the end of the tunnel, the last thing you want is to have some outsider muscle in and reap the benefits of all your hard work, so it’s no surprise that chairman Robert Price told the annual meeting in Minneapolis that CDC would fight for its independence in the even of a raid, and said he believes that current management is doing a better job at serving shareholders’ interests than could be done by outsiders.
