Five top executives, headed by chairman, president and chief executive Gerry Hsu, of Avant! Corp trooped into Santa Clara County jail to be fingerprinted, photographed and booked on charges of conspiracy and theft of trade secrets from Cadence Design Systems Inc earlier this week. Avant! remained open for business, and chief financial officer John Huyett told the San Jose Mercury News that the company would post bail for its embattled executives.
