A US survey has found that Information Systems employees love their jobs but are fed up with their working conditions. The Computerworld Job Satisfaction Survey found increased levels of stress, understaffing, and lack of respect and compensation were top of dissatisfaction lists. Over half of the 500 respondents said their stress levels had increased since last year, with figures for management level staff hitting 90% and above. Additional stress is being attributed to understaffing and increased workloads, and Computerworld senior editor David Welden says the situation will get worse over the next few years and warned employers have to start listening to their staff if they are going to hang on to them.
