Bluestreak Technology, a provider of open flash platforms for wired and wireless devices, has expanded its MachBlue platform’s device support to include new Java and Android powered mobile devices.
The company claims that the development enables companies to use MachBlue to deploy Adobe Flash-based user interfaces, applications and web services across mobile devices in the market that include phones running the Android, Blackberry, Brew, Java, Linux, Symbian and Windows Mobile operating systems.
According to Bluestreak, the Java 2.0 edition of the MachBlue platform is being built using the Java MIDP 2.0 specification and can support installations across Android, J2ME, J2SE, and RIM powered devices. It comes with an improved runtime memory management.
The company said that the new Java release offers 3-D images and animation, including support for gradients, image scaling, full rotation and vector graphics. It is compliant with ActionScript 2.0 and Flash 6.0 and comes packaged with MachBlue Studio and an application development kit.
