BridgeHead Software, a developer of healthcare data management software, has released Heterogeneous Enterprise Archive Technology (HEAT) appliance combined with time-tested BH PACStore functionality which it claims to offer a product set to hospital efforts to achieve enterprise imaging (EI).
The company said that its new release HEAT, developed with Sun Microsystems, will provide integration with PACS, health information systems and electronic health records systems to deliver centralised access to healthcare data. In addition, BH PACStore provides long-term storage and retrieval of PACS imaging data to create a DICOM storage infrastructure.
To deliver access to data generated by diverse systems across enterprises, healthcare organisations are evaluating EI projects to create a central archive enabling universal access and streamlined data management, the company said.
