Boomi has released a new version of its integration platform AtomSphere, which features cloud-based, real-time integration broker and supports both loosely-coupled and point-to-point integration architectures.
The company said that the real-time integration functionality is enabled through the connect.boomi.com integration broker and is achieved with no changes required to firewall security. It allows enterprises to extend their SOA to the cloud to integrate any combination of SaaS, cloud and on-premise applications in a real-time, loosely-coupled way.
Boomi has included a new service called Web Service Publishing with AtomSphere Spring ’10, which allows customers to turn any integration process into a web service that can then be deployed on premise or into Boomi’s cloud.
According to Boomi, the web services deployed in its cloud can be invoked either directly or in conjunction with API management tools such as Mashery by any cloud or on-premise application through connect.boomi.com. All web services, whether deployed on premise or in the cloud, are managed from one central location in AtomSphere to help extend and strengthen existing governance policies.
In addition, the AtomSphere Spring ’10 includes features such as, support for both SOAP and raw HTTP, enhancements to improve resiliency and error rate reduction, process test and debug capabilities, improved/simplified schedule management for batch processes and improved visibility into status of long running/high volume processes.
