Supply chain management organization Industri-Matematik International Corp has reported what it describes as very satisfying first quarter results and appears to be looking forward to a successful remainder of the year. The company, which is based in Sweden with offices around the world, reported a return to profitability in the three months to July 31, with profits at $630,000 from losses of $1.1m last time, while revenue grew 70.4% to $15.7m. The turn around in fortune, according to Industri-Matematik, reflects the demand it has been seeing in its target vertical markets which include industrial products and consumer packaged goods. The company has established a 24-hour-a- day, seven-days-a-week support system in Australia in the period and says the relationship it has with Oracle Corp is continuing to strengthen and grow, enabling Industri-Matematik to expand into the global software market. Under the terms of its arrangement with Oracle, Industri-Matematik’ s demand supply chain management software System ESS has been integrated into Oracle’s consumer packaged goods services.
