AlliedSignal Inc has bought a division of Litronic Industries Inc that designs and supplies advanced semiconductor packaging. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. As a result of the acquisition, AlliedSignal will create a new company called AlliedSignal Substrate Technology as the first step in providing leading edge semiconductor packages. Operations will continue at Costa Mesa, California. AlliedSignal Electronic Materials president Geoff Wild said : It’s an excellent fit with our semiconductor and laminate materials business.
