Help desk software outfit Magic Solutions International Inc has acquired sales force automation software company WinSales Inc. The acquisition forms part of Paramus, New Jersey-based Magic’s ongoing international expansion plans, and the purchase is intended to provide Magic customers with a method to organize and automate customer relationships from the first point of contact to long term support and services. WinSales will retain its name and operate as a separate company from its offices in Bellevue, Washington. Magic says the two firms will continue to offer their separate services, but the new emphasis is on integration. WinSales employs 20 to 30 employees who will all retain their positions, adding to Magic’s 250 staff across the world. Magic has recently opened new offices in Chicago, San Jose, Toronto, London, Frankfurt, Munich, Amsterdam and Brussels. But for the time being the company is focusing on its philosophy of customer interaction and integration and believes the key to succeed in such a market is to enter it via either partners or acquisitions. Both Magic and WinSales are privately traded companies and terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
