Compaq Computer Corp has reduced the prices of all the current Deskpro 2000 and Deskpro 4000 models featuring a Pentium or Pentium MMX processor, by between three and 15%. The Deskpro 2000, for instance, has its price tag dropped from $1,580 down to $1,340 with 200MHz Pentium MMX, 3.2Gb drive and 16Mb SDRAM.
