Verilog Inc of Santa Clara, California has Scenario, which is a multi-windowed graphical design editor used to describe stimulus-response behaviour of real-time systems. This is the first product release from a new generation of object-oriented technology called VOL – Verilog Object Language, for software development. Scenario can be used in both the specification and design phase of the development life-cycle to document communication between the different subsystems clearly, as well as to facilitate system testing. Composition diagrams and message sequence charts enable the engineer to expose the composition and implementation of the system’s scenarios. Its semantic model manager co-ordinates and automatically updates information presented through its multiple windows. The context-sensitive menus are designed to cut down on the number of errors made during development while the automatic update and context-sensitive menus eliminate the need for batch checking, thereby increasing engineer productivity and design quality.
