According to Mercent, the new Price Optimization Engine features pricing rules that accommodate and comply with supplier minimum advertised prices (MAP); merchandise repricing based on targeted, rules-based criteria; active management for 100% of inventory pricing; competitive channel management that adjusts merchandise pricing to ‘win’ the Amazon Buy Box;

In addition, the new tool features continuous merchandise offer adjustment with no disruption based on ongoing, automated competitive offer information; real-time viewing of product offer updates and changes; ability to tailor product offers based on competing sellers and programs; ability to increase merchandise pricing; and support for Amazon’s ‘Fulfillment by Amazon’ inventory repricing.

Mercent said that the Price Optimization Engine offered as SaaS-based software tool, is accessible through a simple user interface that enables retailers to begin repricing merchandise on Amazon.com.
