IBM says its has enhanced the performance of its LaserPrinter family by introducing two PostScript options: they are available on the LaserPrinter and LaserPrinter E, and feature Automatic EmulationMode Switching which enables users to send data in any of four print modes to the printer, which will interpret it automatically; Adobe Type Manager is standard with both options, and users may choose the PostScript Option with 17 fonts, or the PostScript Option Premium, with 39 fonts; both include screen fonts that allow the text to appear on the display screen as it will appear when printed, and the LaserPrinters come with the new High Yield+ Cartridge, which prints about 50% more pages than the High Yield Cartridge; also, IBM has announced price changes on several options, and the PostScript option is available for $550, while the PostScript Option is $900 and the PostScript Outline Font Card, which contains 22 fonts, is $400; from March 26, the 1Mb memory option is $300, the 2Mb option is $600, and the 3.5Mb is just under $1,000.
