Irvine, California-based AST Research Inc is to distribute its computer products through Circuit City Stores Inc’s 166 stores; Circuit City, said to be the largest retailer of brand-name consumer electronics and major appliances in the US, will stock AST’s personal computers sold under the Advantage! brand name; the line will include desktop and portable systems, and initial desktop models will be 80386 and 80486 systems and AST plans to distribute an 80386SX notebook under the Advantage! name.
