GTE Corp has settled its lawsuit with John Goeken by cancelling the non-compete agreement it imposed on him when it bought his Airfone company: Goeken says that GTE also agreed to pay the former shareholders of Airfone $15.5m, although GTE declined to confirm the figure: the agreement means that Goeken can reassume the helm at his new air-to-ground firm, Inflight Systems Inc; Goeken withdrew his other claims.
