San Jose-based Conner Peripherals Inc reports that it will provide Silicon Graphics Inc with its Summit Series Winchester disk drives for use in Iris Indigo workstations manufacturered and sold within Europe: the 3.5 Summit disk provides 540Mb of formatted capacity and features a SCSI-2 interface, with 12mS average seek time, sustained data rate of 2.5Mbytes-per-second and up to 256K of segmented cache buffer; the value was not given.
