Business intelligence firm Datawatch has unveiled Monarch Data Pump V10.5 Professional Edition, a new upgrade to the company’s server-based data distribution, ETL (Extraction, Transformation, Loading) and application integration offering.

The company said that Monarch Data Pump V10.5 Pro, which offers all the report and data mining capabilities of the product’s Standard Edition, is designed to provide high-volume data production while utilising features such as web services, remote administration via a web browser and integration within SQL Server Information Services (SSIS). It is also compatible with the new Windows 7 operating system.

Datawatch claims that its new offering provides data ETL and integration that is easy-to-use, set-up and maintain. Monarch Data Pump V10.5 Pro automatically mines and combines data from reports, PDF files and other data sources, without any new programming required. It also provides customisation of data views by providing calculated fields, data summarisation, sorts, filters, lookups and more.

In addition, the offering uploads data to any ODBC or OLE DB-compliant database including SQL Server, Oracle or DB2. Companies can use it to export mined data into formats such as Microsoft Office Excel 2007. It also allows companies to create and export Excel spreadsheets containing a copy of the original report source of the data. Digital Signatures can also be added.

According to Datawatch, the Monarch Data Pump V10.5 Pro offers the same functionality as the Standard Edition plus adds the ability to install up to 32 physical CPUs; remote administration over the network using Microsoft Management Console interface; the ability to use web-enabled Monarch Data Pump administration with any browser; web services interface; and integration with SQL Server 2005 Information Services (SSIS)

John Kitchen, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Datawatch, said: “Monarch Data Pump V10.5 Pro gives customers powerful, programming-free business intelligence at a fraction of the cost, time and complexity of alternative solutions. With this new version, we can help customers take on the toughest challenges in high-volume ETL and information delivery.”
