Albania is trying to attract foreign capital to aid its ailing economy with a new investment law and tax concessions for foreign investors: three areas are being targeted telecommunications, banking and transport; foreign investors in these areas will now have the same rights as their local partners, with guarantees against nationalisation, and according to Artan Hoxha, Minister for Foreign Economic Co-operation, taxes on foreign investments are to be kept at a nominal level, Reuter reports.
