Resurgens Communications Group Inc, Atlanta says it is continuing its ongoing discussions about a possible business combination with Metromedia Communications Group Inc, privately-held long-distance telephone company in East Rutherford, New Jersey: the company also said it is in talks to acquire three long-distance providers with annual revenue of between $10m and $30m in the US Northwest and Midwest; the company says it expects to report fiscal 1992 fourth-quarter earnings of $1.3m to $1.5m or 20 cents to 22 cents a share, against a year-earlier loss, on turnover of $37m to $38m, up from $5.8m, the big jump in turnover largely reflecting the acquisition of Com Systems Inc, of Westlake Village, California.
