Apple Computer Inc says it is talking with cable, telephone and consumer electronics firms about marketing its EZTV software to them for interactive television, and announcements about agreements can be expected in the coming months; it will be out next year and cable companies could choose EZTV for cable system customers, while consumer electronics companies might build the software into a television set; the software combines the operating system, the underlying architecture, the user interface and the communication protocols for interactive television, Apple said.
