AT&T Co plans to start offering its Switched Digital International Service to Germany and Spain this month, having started service to Finland last month: the 56Kbps or 64Kbps dial-up digital service is now offered to 13 countries Australia, Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, Sweden and the UK; AT&T says that dial-up video calling is one of the most popular uses of the service – videophones are not far away now.
