CA Technologies has announced a range of new products across its security, Agile Management, and DevOps portfolios, aiming to help developers overcome obstacles in the development lifecyle.

The firm announced a new release of CA Priviliged Access Manager to assist in controlling privileged to dynamic VMware NSX environment in real time.

If an unusual event or incident is registered, the tool gives the ability to terminate an administrative session, automatically start session recordings, or force the administrative user to re-authenticate with stronger credentials.

It also updated its identity governance tool, CA Identity Suite, so that identity and governance procedures can be performed across a variety of devices.

CA now offers mainframe data discover and classification for on-platform data discovery and classification solution to helps safeguard mainframe data. The product automatically scans the data to identify where sensitive and regulated information is located, how it’s accessed and who can get to it.

The firm says its products are designed to protect hybrid enterprises using cloud, distributed, mobile and mainframe architectures.

CA has also updated its DevOps portfolio with a particular focus on helping mobile app developers. It has a new CA API Management product to help API creation and mobile app development, as well as its Live API creator, with what the firm describes as "seamless" connection to a database.

Furthermore, CA Service Virtulization is now available from the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, with the intention of streamlining application simulation and testing.

It also announced new monitoring systems called CA Virtual Network Assurance, and SDN/NFV solution which is designed to boost the visibility and reliability operations team shave on self-service driven, dynamic network.

The new CA Unified Infrastructure Management for z Systems also gives a unified view across mainframe and distributed systems.

The firm also continues to push for Agile Management via training and coaching.

The new products were revealed at the firms CA World ’15 conference.
