It seems the AIX team at IBM Corp’s largest European RS/6000 site – believed to be the UK’s North West Water Plc, with 1,000 machines – is having a hard time with all sorts of problems, bugs, callouts, weekend work and bad fixes: sources at the organisation – which also has a number of MVS systems – say the hitches with IBM’s Unix are very reminiscent of those that MVS users suffered about seven years ago.
