Apple Computer Inc says software developer interest in and support for its Newton handheld machines continue to gain momentum, and that more than 1,500 developers have expressed an interest in developing applications and titles for the Newton family, with a number having products ready to ship as early as this autumn, with announcements set for the time of the launch of the first Newton personal assistant.
