Iterated Systems Ltd of Reading, Berkshire has announced the next version of its Fractal Transform image compression and enhancement product, Images Incorporated v2.0 for Windows. Available now, it costs UKP300 for new users, UKP45 for upgrades. Images Incorporated is designed for image-handling applications, enabling users to build libraries of photographic images compressed to very small file size. Iterated Systems has also announced a UKP2m, three year contract giving Aberdeen-based image engineering company Frax Ltd the UK marketing rights for its SmartBook Authoring System. SmartBook is an electronic book publishing package, integrating text and fractally-compressed images with hypertext links between pages. It runs under MS-DOS on 80286 machines and up with VGA display or supported SuperVGA graphics. It costs UKP600.
