Beaverton, Oregon-based Spectragraphics Inc’s Personal Graphics Division has demonstrated PC-Xview for NT, claimed to be the first X Window System server for Microsoft Corp’s Windows NT which doesn’t actually exist as a product yet: PC-Xview for NT enables personal computer users to display X Window applications from anywhere on the network alongside local NT ones; it is integrated with the NT environment, and enables users to access Unix applications as easily as Windows applications, running both programs and cutting and pasting between the environments; availability will coincide with first shipment of NT from Microsoft; it will be about $500 but pricing will be finalised when the product ships.
