Slough, Berkshire-based banking and dealing room software house Kapiti Ltd has sold its Equinox personal computer banking system into two banks in the Baltic States and will soon announce another account in Taipei, Taiwan. Kapiti released the product last year as a system for small or start-up banks that did not generate the volume of business to justify buying an IBM Corp AS/400, and the first customer was an Angolan bank and its six branches. The Estonian Forexbank and the Estonian Innovation bank, both under five years old, opted for the Kapiti packages to replace locally-developed systems, and will get telephone support from Kapiti.
