Fujitsu Espana SA has added three new models to its scanner range, two colour, M32969B and M3296C, and one large scale model for office automation formats, M3098A: the M3296B colour scanner is a high quality, high-speed scanner, for use with paper sizes up to A3; it is a flatbed device that enables both individual sheets and books to be scanned while the quality and speed required are defined by selecting a resolution between 200 and 400 dots per inch; it recognises 256 tones for each basic colour meaning and a total of 16.7m colours, measures 4.3 by 25.9 by 19.6 and weighs 48 lbs; the M3296C is the same as the M3296B but incorporates a transparencies unit for scanning transparent sheets; the M3098A is suitable for computer aided design applications, map and plan reading systems; a cylinder scanner with manual document feed, the documents are returned to insertion point after they have been scanned; it has a RS232C interface for control signals and a local interface for video signals; it measures 39 by 51.2 by 25.6.
