Insurance company ICICI Prudential is deploying BMC Software’s Control-M Workload Automation offering to automate its IT and business processes.
The BMC Control-M offering integrates the management of critical scheduling processes from a single point of control and eradicates errors in a simplified and automated fashion, resulting time and cost saving for companies.
With the new offering, ICICI Prudential Life is provided with the reduced scheduled workload processing time in the range of 10 to 15%and the BMC Control-M’s compatibility with diverse systems enables increased productivity and cost savings, simultaneously mitigating risks and ensuring service delivery in a heterogeneously distributed environment.
The offering provides lower total cost of ownership and the BMC Control-M’s self-service interface enables clients to have a single view of services provided to their business users.
To enable the operations team to manage scheduled jobs-processing, without the need to log on to production systems, BMC Control-M is integrated with the AS/400 systems for Life-Asia, an online, real-time life administration system for insurance products.
In addition, the BMC Control-M eliminates incidences of human error by automating reporting on batch job timelines, provides easy access to production systems, makes it easy to meet security and audit compliance requirements for global standards, such as SOX and ISO/IEC 27001 and the offering’s tight integration with emails and text messages ensures that all challenges are identified and notifications are sent, thereby enhancing batch processing.
The new offering also manages and runs workloads in physical, virtual and cloud environments with BMC’s Dynamic Workload Management features and workload policies that leverage virtual resources in private and public clouds as needed to complete workload processing and ensure SLAs are met.
BMC area Asia-Pacific Mainframe Service Management Sales vice-president James Russell said BMC Control-M allows users to integrate their service level agreement (SLA) benchmarks to scheduled workloads in a single window from both a business and technological perspective.
"This ensures that business users have a better view into their business processes and more control over delivery of their end-product whether that be delivery of a business service or meeting a service level agreement. With BMC Control-M, business users at ICICI Prudential Life are now equipped to have their tasks completed without the need for domain knowledge of scheduling tools, improving IT and business efficiencies that meet the rigorous needs of the dynamic and fast-moving insurance sector," said Russell.
