Apple launched its iTunes Match service in the UK and across Europe, a month after they were released in the US.
The service automatically scans hard-drive for music and replaces old MP3s with 256kbps tracks from iTunes on Apple’s cloud servers. It also lets users manually upload songs not available in Apple’s catalogues.
It allows consumers to stream their entire music collection through the cloud services from up to 10 devices including iPods, iPads, Apple TV and iTunes-enabled Macs and PCs.
The iTunes Match service subscription costs £21.99 a year.
It also frees up adequate disk space for users who wants to simply stream songs from the cloud.
However, you can match only up to 25,000 tracks a year.
