Nokia is all set to return to the US smartphone market next month by partnering with T-Mobile USA to deliver the Lumia 710, its first Windows-powered smartphone.
To be sold by T-Mobile USA, it will be available from January onwards and would be priced at $50 with a two year contract.
Nokia is looking to target people, who have never ever bought a smartphone. Nokia US President Chris Weber that it was the right space to launch their Windows phone.
Lumia 710 features a 1.4GHz single-core Qualcomm processor, a 5-megapixel camera and 3.7-inch screen. It will run the Microsoft’s latest software named Mango.
However, analysts are not convinced with Nokia’s strategy to partner with T-Mobile USA. In order to expand, the suggest Nokia should tie up with carriers such as AT&T and Verizon Wireles, they feel.
