San Diego, California-based Systech Corp has announced Etherplex, an Ethernet multiplexer designed to operate with Ethernet terminal servers at high performance levels. The first product, which is compatible with Systech’s existing Unplug terminal control product line, is aimed at users of the VMEbus for input-output, while additional versions for EISA, Micro Channel and S-Bus are planned. No details on pricing are available. The company has also announced a contract with Data General Corp to provide communications subsystems. The majority of the order is for Systech’s Unplug, although the new Etherplex will also account for part of the order.
