Steria SA, one of France’s largest software and systems integration companies and a Unix specialist, was expected to announce the acquisition of Digilog SA, an information services company based in Aix-en-Provence, yesterday. Digilog, specialising in the defense and transport sectors, reported 1992 revenues of approximately $9m and is profitable. By contrast, Steria reported the first loss in its 23-year history in 1992, of approximately $3.2million on revenues of $184m. Steria says the acquisition will place the group in first place nationally in the defence and transport sectors. In 1992, 33% of its revenues came from manufacturing and transport, 15% came from space and defence.
