StumbleUpon has gone in for a makeover by adding more avenues to navigate through its online content recommendation service.

The new look, alongside a few new choice features, is an effort to make the site learn toward intelligent curation of content and is a departure from the "roulette-wheel" method of random exploration.

Founder and CEO StumbleUpon Garrett Camp said that listening to feedback from users, the thing they like about StumbleUpon most is the core functionality of stumbling through the Web.

StumbleUpon also has added an "explore" option which is designed to make it easier for users to find content quickly with a search.

Camp said, "Users had the expectation that they would see an individual acting on good will to share a piece of content rather than a for-profit company promoting a piece of content for selfish reasons."

StumbleUpon recently doubled its user base in 16 months by garnering 20 million users.
