IBM Corp has put the 3.0 release of LAN Server 3.0 into beta test, PC Week reports: LAN Server 3.0, due by the end of the year, will include an enhanced High Performance File System for running OS/2 2.0 on both the client and server; also, it will include peer-to-peer services and built-in TCP/IP communications support; the file system will enable administrators to run OS/2 2.0 on the network servers and the new peer services will enable clients to share local directories and printers across the network.
