The Cypress, California-based Information Systems Division of Mitsubishi Electronics America Inc: has come out with a new version of its Diamond Scan 16 display offering more features at a lower price: the Diamond Scan 16 features a larger screen size in a compact enclosure, on-screen colour calibration and greater autoscanning capability; the monitor is designed to take full advantage of Windows and the Macintosh graphical user interfaces, has a 16 diagonal tube in a compact enclosure the same size as a traditional 14 monitor, but offers 42% more display area, runs all resolutions between 640 by 480 and 1,280 by 1,024 non-interlaced; at $1,300 it is $200 cheaper than its predecessor and is available now.
