VDI hardware and software offerings provider Devon IT has released free VDI Blaster software for any current Dell small and medium business (SMB) customers.
Devon IT VDI Blaster is a software tool that enables a PC to act as a thin client and converts PCs into secure and centrally manageable desktop appliances, enables SMB organisations to realise benefits of thin client computing, and extends capital investment in PCs.
VDI Blaster minimises the risk of switching to a fully virtualised architecture, makes centrally-managed desktops possible, which reduces risk and allows for synchronised system updates and connects thin clients to Microsoft Terminal Services, shared services, and virtual desktops from Citrix XenDesktop, Microsoft, or VMware View.
Devon IT said VDI Blaster can be managed by Devon IT Echo, a thin client management software platform and it manages every device running Devon IT VDI Blaster software and comes included with each VDI Blaster license.
Devon IT president Joe Makoid said the Free VDI blaster offer will allow many users to test out the power of Dell’s offering for no up front cost.
