Apple Computer Inc is the first to throw a spanner into the works of the $1,000m Desktop IV contract for up to 300,000 machines awarded to CompuAdd Corp, Austin, Texas and Sysorex Information Systems Inc, Falls Church, Virginia late last month (CI No 1,808): Apple has filed a protest with the US General Services Administration, saying that it disagreed with all three counts on which it was ruled out.
