IBM Corp’s AdStar business unit claims that it shipped more than 250,000 1Gb 3.5 hard disk drives last year, and claims to be the market leader in the sector after researcher InfoCorp said in a report that Adstar shipped 61% of the total drives delivered in 1992, and 31% of the OEM drives shipped.
