HEIT, a CSI company has introduced its Cloud Hosting Services to enable financial institutions to outsource all of their IT servers and hardware needs to a cloud-based environment, allowing them increased flexibility and efficiency.
To provide an affordable IT offering, the Cloud Hosting Services combine outsourced infrastructure and hardware services with HEIT’s integrated management and security offerings by which financial institutions can gain access to secure data centers with multiple levels of physical security and disaster recovery capabilities.
HEIT’s three tiers of cloud hosting include: Single Focus Hosting; Disaster Recovery (DR) Hosting; and Full Environment Hosting. These three tiers of cloud hosting are built specifically for banking environments and with these models, HEIT provides the flexibility to meet the personalised needs of every financial institution client.
Single Focus Hosting offers an Exchange, File Transfer Protocol (FTP) or other dedicated-use server for customers on a virtual infrastructure whereas Disaster Recovery (DR) Hosting allows hosting of the DR function for onsite services with active replication and/or backup to the HEIT data center with bare metal restore in the event of a disaster.
Full Environment Hosting provides all servers and systems from a data center delivered directly to the customer.
CSI Managed Services Division general manager Dan Holt said cloud-based IT hosting makes it possible for community financial institutions to offer the same services such as 24/7 account fraud monitoring offered at larger banks without the need to invest in additional staff.
"Through these offerings, financial institutions can also expand quickly based on the needs of the bank while avoiding the commitment of extensive capital resources. Capital expenditures for hardware and software are irrelevant with hosted cloud services. Financial institutions should have the ability to upgrade their Exchange server when it makes sense for the organization, not when funding becomes available for server hardware and upgraded licensing," said Holt.
