HP has introduced Integrating Lakeside SysTrack software, a new service that helps organisations to accelerate the design and implementation of client virtualisation offerings.

Integrating Lakeside SysTrack software helps mitigate the risk of downtime and tighten security and it offers organisations a path to a properly planned and sized virtualisation project, said the company.

The new HP client virtualisation, analysis and modeling service provides insight into user segments and applications that streamline a client’s path to a virtualised desktop environment.

In addition, the service offers custom planning which allows organisations to reduce desktop costs by validating and tuning plans for client virtualisation offerings and also it offers client migration services that provide organisations with a simplified process for moving customer-centric data to new environments.

To optimise its desktops for both physical and virtual environments, organisations can continue to use SysTrack software after the completion of virtualisation migration.

HP Technology Services Microsoft and Client Infrastructure Consulting Services global practice director Tom Norton said organisations need to accurately design the right desktop offering for each client’s segment, which requires information that’s specific to their environment and unique computing needs.

"HP and Lakeside Software have deep industry expertise advising organizations on how to best transform the desktop virtualization experience," said Norton.
