The Baby Bells are all stripping for multimedia action and shedding the accretions of failed or unsatisfactory diversifications made since 1984: Englewood, Colorado-based US West Inc has now completed the sale of the majority of the assets and businesses of its US West Financial Services Inc to NationsBank Corp, Charlotte, North Carolina; terms were not disclosed, but some $2,000m of net receivables are included in the contract.
