Enterprise-class Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) offerings provider iTRACS and IT management software and offerings company CA Technologies have partnered to unleash the agility, efficiency, and dependability of enterprise infrastructure.
The collabration results in advanced offerings to help customers overcome current DCIM limitations and manage data centre power, space and cooling, with complete awareness of the complex interdependencies and processes underlying the enterprise infrastructure.
Under the partnership, the organisations integrate enterprise IT management with physical infrastructure management for "single pane" management of a customer’s DCIM ecosystem – IT infrastructure, facilities infrastructure, building management systems, and IT systems and processes.
The companies will integrate capabilities from CA ecoSoftware and iTRACS Converged Physical Infrastructure Management (CPIM), which will enable data centre owners and operators to optimise capacity and performance, improve availability, reduce energy consumption and costs, manage change, and more effectively leverage data centre and cloud technologies.
The organisations will leverage their respective systems management expertise to innovate and evolve a comprehensive DCIM model – DCIModel – enabling the holistic management of the interdependencies of asset, space, time, power, connectivity and processes.
iTRACS president and CEO Elizabeth Given said the company is excited to join forces with CA Technologies to help customers unleash the true potential of DCIM.
"The capabilities provided by the integration of iTRACS CPIM and CA ecoSoftware will empower customers to see, manage and optimize their enterprise infrastructure holistically, enabling the knowledge-based decisions that drive positive business outcomes. This, we believe, is what DCIM is meant to be," said Given.
CA Technologies CA ecoSoftware general manager Terrence Clark said by combining CA Technolgies’ strengths, the company is delivering a unique approach to DCIM that helps organisations enhance the agility, efficiency, and dependability of their infrastructure.
"Under this partnership agreement, we are offering a new level of visibility, convergence, and automation that helps organizations cope with the need for availability, the pressures of data center power, space and cooling capacity, and the demand for greater efficiency," said Clark.
