Between April and July this year users of Deutsche Bundespost Telekom’s D1 and Mannesmann Mobilfunk GmbH’s D2 digital cellular networks increased by 100,000 to 450,000, according to Plica, the Munich-based research company: Mannesmann was able to increase its number of customers from 200,000 to 260,000 during the period, ahead of Deutsche Bundespost Telekom which added only 40,000 to get up to 190,000.
