AST RESEARCH SIGN LICENSE WITH IBM TO PRE-INSTALL OS/2 2.1

Irvine, California-based AST Research Inc has signed a licensing agreement with IBM Corp that allows it to pre-install OS/2 2.1 on its machines: AST says it will preload OS/2 2.1 on its Premmia and Bravo desktop systems, and Premium SE uniprocessor and Manhattan SMP multiprocessor servers for corporate accounts, beginning next month.
