Fujitsu Europe Ltd, based in Uxbridge, Middlesex, completes its low-end range of dot matrix printers with the new 24 pin DL1200 designed to support personal computers: it incorporates six resident fonts and offers font cards from the Bitstream designer series; resident emulations include Fujitsu DPL24C Plus, IBM Proprinter XL24 and Epson LQ-2500, with the option of Fujitsu DPL24D or DEC LA 50/75/120/210; the printer works with Fujitsu software packages Dlmenu, an on-line printer set-up program bundled with printer drivers, and Fujitsu Creative Faces, which works in conjunction with Windows to offer up to 35 PostScript-compatible fonts; the 13 font configuration is priced at UKP75, the 35 at UKP175, the DL1200 itself is available now for UKP550.
