Cambridge Futures, a 70,000 pound research project set up by academics, industry and politicians, has been set up in Cambridge, UK to assess the future of a town increasingly choked by its success in attracting 650 science and technology companies to the so-called silicon fen. Conclusions will be fed into the county structure plan, which aims to see how up to 65,000 new homes might be squeezed into the county in the near future without paving it over in its entirety.
